On October 28, 2026, Sany Heavy Industry's Tongxing series electric mixer truck launch themed "Smart-Electric Renewal, Concrete-Creating Future" was held in Guangzhou. Focusing on the electrification transformation of the ready-mix concrete industry, Sany launched the Tongxing 409 electric mixer truck, a product jointly and deeply developed by Sany and CATL. Relying on forward-integrated whole-vehicle design, it combines lightweight, high safety, low energy consumption, and strong power, providing a high-performance pure-electric equipment solution for concrete transport scenarios.
At the event, Mr. Xiao Zhengwen, Deputy General Manager of Sany Group and General Manager of the Marketing Company of the Pump and Road Business Unit, delivered a speech sharing Sany's R&D layout in the ready-mix electrification track. He said that along with the implementation of the dual-carbon strategy and customers' practical demands for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, Sany firmly abandoned the simple "oil-to-electric" patchwork development approach, and conducted forward R&D based on the real high-frequency, high-intensity operating conditions of mixer trucks, taking lightweight technology, three-electric safety assurance, and energy-saving endurance capability as core research directions, committed to building electric mixer trucks that truly adapt to the actual operation scenarios of mixing plants.
Mr. Chen Jianeng, Assistant to the Executive President of CATL's Heavy Industry Business, then delivered a speech. As the core partner of this joint development, CATL shared its power battery technology layout for the ready-mix scenario, stating that it will continue to empower Sany's electric equipment with customized battery systems, and the two sides will work together to advance the green upgrade of concrete transport.
Ms. Xiao Huiyu, Secretary General of the Guangdong Provincial Ready-Mixed Concrete Industry Association, also attended and delivered a speech, speaking highly of electric engineering equipment helping the industry's green upgrade.
The core highlight of this launch was the formal release of the Tongxing 409 electric mixer truck. Mr. Li Ning, Marketing General Manager of Sany Heavy Industry's Guangdong Branch, gave a comprehensive technical introduction to this star product:
The vehicle adopts the industry's first upper-body and chassis integrated forward integration design, removing the sub-frame structure to balance a low center of gravity with overall vehicle reliability; it is equipped with CATL customized batteries and a self-developed EBI energy recovery system, combined with multiple intelligent safety protections such as REB right-turn active emergency braking, comprehensively adapting to the real operating scenarios of ready-mix with heavy loads and muddy, watery conditions.
In addition to the Tongxing 409 electric mixer truck, Sany simultaneously exhibited electric loaders and Sany electric heavy trucks, building a full-chain electric product matrix covering raw material transfer, on-site loading and unloading, and concrete transport.
Beyond hardware, Sany simultaneously promoted its supporting ultimate service system, practicing the "Lifetime Worry-Free" service commitment.
