Since the end of April, the first phase of Anhui Xuanjing Expressway Project has started asphalt spreading and compacting operations. The two sections of the project 01 and 03 have been constructed with the use of SANY unmanned spreading and compacting machines. The cumulative working area has reached 30 kilometers. The asphalt bottom layer operation has been basically completed, and the spreading and compacting of the middle layer will be started one after another.
During the construction process in May, the high efficiency and good quality of the unmanned spreading and compacting machine group were fully demonstrated, with the daily construction mileage reaching up to 1.8 kilometers. Through comparative experiments, the construction flatness was better than that of manual work, which was highly recognized by customers.
The unmanned asphalt construction of Xuanjing Expressway has three outstanding features: full delivery, the most comprehensive application of technology, and unmanned application along the entire line.
Achieve full delivery
The drone swarm application of the Xuanjing Expressway Section 03 has been completely separated from SANY R&D personnel, and is fully independently operated by the technical staff of Anhui Liju Group.
This is another major milestone since SANY delivered the first set of National IV intelligent spreading and pressing machine group equipment in the country to Liju Group in November 2023, proving that SANY 's unmanned spreading and pressing machine group is no longer a "precision instrument" that can only be operated by R&D personnel, but has become a product that can be delivered to customers for independent use.
The most comprehensive technology application
In addition to the standard unmanned driving technology, the fleet of the 01 and 03 sections of Xuanjing Expressway is also equipped with a series of single-machine intelligent systems such as SANY 's latest developed paver assisted driving, automatic extension and retraction of ironing plates, integrated edge-adhering of rollers, and 360 active safety, which further reduces the number of auxiliary operators on site and improves the safety and quality of operations.
Unmanned application throughout the line
The first phase of Xuanjing Expressway is divided into three sections, and unmanned paving and compacting machines are used throughout the line for asphalt pavement paving and rolling operations. Sections 01 and 03 both use SANY unmanned paving and compacting equipment.
This time, Xuanjing Expressway fully applies unmanned paving and compacting technology for regular construction in all sections, which is not only leading in the country, but also indicates that through the unremitting efforts of peers in the past few years, unmanned paving and compacting technology is no longer just a "gimmick" that exists only in various observation meetings, but has begun to move towards industry application.
In the next two months, the unmanned spreading machine group will continue to be busy on Xuanjing Expressway.
