At 3:30 am on August 3, a sudden mountain torrent and mudslide disaster occurred in Guza Town, Kangding City, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, causing the collapse of the bridge between Ridi Tunnel No. 1 and Tunnel No. 2 on the Yakang Expressway Kangding to Luding section and the destruction of houses in Ridi Village, Guza Town, resulting in the fall of vehicles and loss of contact with people.

Currently, Ganzi Prefecture is making every effort to carry out search and rescue operations, and has coordinated the deployment of emergency, fire, public security and other forces to do its utmost to search for the missing persons.
