LiuGong Leads the Electrification Boom!

In order to implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, further deepen reform in an all-round way, lead the optimization and upgrading of traditional industries with the improvement of national standards, and maintain the security and stability of the industrial chain and supply chain, the State Administration for Market Regulation held an on-site promotion meeting for the exchange of experience in the standardization and stabilization of the supply chain of electric engineering machinery in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province on August 5. Relevant leaders of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the China Machinery Industry Federation, the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, and relevant representatives of engineering machinery manufacturers, parts manufacturers, key universities, and standards committees attended the meeting.
The conference released the first batch of 7 national standards for electric construction machinery, including "Electric Earthmoving Machinery - Terminology", covering all aspects of the industry chain such as terminology, complete machine, energy consumption test method, power battery safety, etc., filling the gap in the standard system of electric construction machinery. Among them, Liugong led the preparation of three national standards, "Electric Earthmoving Machinery - Terminology", "Earthmoving Machinery - Pure Electric Hydraulic Excavator - Energy Consumption Test Method", and "Earthmoving Machinery - Pure Electric Wheel Loader for Plateau Tunnels". Liugong participated in the preparation of two national standards, "Power Batteries for Electric Earthmoving Machinery - Part 1: Safety Requirements" and "Power Batteries for Electric Earthmoving Machinery - Part 2: Electrical Performance Requirements".
Promoting high-quality development of electric construction machinery with standardization
In response to the deployment of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Earthmoving Machinery, Liugong has taken the lead in compiling three national standards and participated in the compilation of the standards for core electric components released this time. As the responsible unit of the Technical Committee for Standardization of Electric Earthmoving Machinery, Liugong organized industry manufacturers, universities, testing institutions and other relevant units to participate in the entire process of formulating the first batch of standards. At the same time, it sent senior standardization experts to take on the role of the technical review group leader of "Earthmoving Machinery - Pure Electric Tire Loader for Plateau Tunnels" and "Earthmoving Machinery - Pure Electric Hydraulic Excavator for Plateau Tunnels", making due efforts to improve my country's electric earthmoving machinery standard system.
"Electric earth-moving machinery - Terminology" is the first national standard for electric engineering machinery proposed in the industry. This standard identifies the terms and definitions of modules such as the technical route, typical key components, and charging and swapping interface communication of electric earth-moving machinery, and unifies the industry's understanding and specifications of the basic common names of electric earth-moving machinery. "Earth-moving machinery - Pure electric hydraulic excavator - Test method for energy consumption" stipulates the test conditions and test methods for the energy consumption of pure electric hydraulic excavators, as well as the methods for evaluating the endurance, operating efficiency and energy efficiency of electric excavators, solving the problem that there are currently no endurance evaluation methods or standards at home and abroad, and providing scientific testing standards and theoretical basis for the industry. "Earth-moving machinery - Pure electric tire loaders for plateau tunnels" identifies the requirements of plateau working conditions for products, including safety, performance, maintenance, and cost of use, and establishes standards for products in harsh construction environments, reflecting the specificity and integrity of plateau tunnel electric product standards, filling the gap in domestic and international standards for pure electric products for plateau tunnels, and serving the construction of major national projects.
The three electric construction machinery standards formulated by LiuGong have solved the current situation where some electric construction machinery in the industry has no standards to follow. They play a very important role in promoting technological innovation and industrial upgrading, leading the sustained and orderly development of the electric construction machinery industry, and enhancing the influence of domestic electric construction machinery standards.
Work hard to set standards and promote industry innovation and upgrading
In 2014, LiuGong was the first company in the industry to start research on electrification, and now it has been 10 years. In the course of electrification development, Liugong has realized that the industry lacks standards for electric construction machinery. The electric products developed by various main engine manufacturers in the industry have no standards to follow, and the standards implemented are inconsistent. The lack of standards has caused certain obstacles to the promotion of electric products in the industry. Therefore, Liugong took the lead in proposing to undertake the formulation of national standards and industry standards and to establish a sub-technical committee for electric earthmoving machinery standards. Under the overall planning of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Earthmoving Machinery, in October 2023, the Sub-Technical Committee for Standardization of Electric Earthmoving Machinery (TC334/SC3) was settled in Liugong, and Liugong further contributed its strength and wisdom to the development of the industry. After the establishment of the sub-committee, under the guidance of the National Committee for Standardization of Earthmoving Machinery, Liugong invested a lot of resources to organize and explore the electric standards urgently needed by the industry. The 7 national standards released this time came into being after rigorous preliminary planning.
In the future, LiuGong will make full use of the platform of the Electric Earthmoving Machinery Standardization Sub-Technical Committee (TC334/SC3), and under the leadership of the National Technical Committee for Earthmoving Machinery Standardization, work with industry colleagues to jointly build my country's electric earthmoving machinery standardization system and promote high-quality development of the industry.
