LiuGong's Technological Innovation Demonstrates its "Hard Power"

On August 9, the Party Committee and the People's Government of the Autonomous Region held the Regional Science and Technology Conference and the Guangxi Science and Technology Awards Conference. Three technical achievements of Liugong won the Guangxi Science and Technology Award in 2023. Among them, the "Introduction and Industrial Application of Complete Technology of Non-road Engines" won the "Science and Technology Cooperation Award" (equivalent to the first prize), and the "Green Intelligent Key Technology and Industrialization of Core Transmission Parts of High-power Wheel Loaders" project won the "Technology Invention Award First Prize". This is the first time that Liugong has won two first prizes of Guangxi Science and Technology Awards at the same time, demonstrating Liugong's long-term innovation and self-reliance, and the "hard power" of continuously promoting scientific and technological progress and industrial upgrading.
Wang Taiping, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, deputy chairman and general manager of Guangxi Liugong Group Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the conference, and Zeng Guang'an, secretary of the Party Committee, chairman and CEO of Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., went on stage to receive the honorary certificate of the "Science and Technology Cooperation Award".
"Introduction and Industrial Application of Complete Technology for Off-road Engines" was jointly submitted by Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., Ltd. Liugong and Cummins, a Fortune 500 company, jointly established Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., Ltd., which mainly carries out the research and development and production of off-road engines. Over the years, Liugong has effectively enhanced its independent research and development capabilities in the field of core components and achieved local development, which has played a positive role in improving the stability and security of the industrial chain and supply chain. At the same time, it has also driven the development of local upstream and downstream industries and made due contributions to the high-quality economic development of Liuzhou and even Guangxi. This award is a recognition of Liugong's achievements in scientific and technological innovation and international cooperation, and it also indicates that Liugong's technology introduction and industrial application in this field have reached the industry-leading level.
"Key Green and Intelligent Technologies and Industrialization of Core Transmission Parts of High-power Wheel Loaders" was jointly submitted by Liugong Liuzhou Transmission Parts Co., Ltd., Jilin University, and Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. The project team successfully broke through a number of key technical difficulties, including the development of high-efficiency torque converters, energy saving and control of gearboxes, high-efficiency and reliability of heavy-duty drive axles, and powertrain matching. Some key components have broken the monopoly of foreign technology, enhanced the international competitiveness of domestic equipment, and promoted technological progress in the industry. The technological breakthrough in this field has enabled Liugong to independently develop powerful equipment with extreme operating capabilities in extreme environments, helping the construction of major projects such as the "Belt and Road" and polar scientific research.
In addition, the project "Construction of Forward Development Platform and Electrification Application of Excavator Series Reducers" submitted by Liugong Liuzhou Transmission Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. won the "Third Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award".
