Updated ! Zoomlion Leads the Release of the Fifth International Standard

On August 26, the international standard ISO 21573-1 "Construction machinery and equipment - Concrete pumps - Part 1: Commercial specifications" revised by Zoomlion was officially published. This is the fifth international standard released by Zoomlion and the second international standard released by Zoomlion this month, fully demonstrating the strength of the industry leader.

ISO 21573-1 "Construction machinery and equipment Concrete pumps Part 1: Commercial specifications" is the first programmatic international standard in the field of concrete pumping machinery. Since its release in 2014, it has provided important support and technical guarantee for the development of global concrete pumping machinery. However, with the progress of the industry, some professional terms and specification parameters have lagged behind the development of industry technology and cannot fully and accurately reflect the current market demand.
In October 2022, with the approval of ISO, Zoomlion will revise the ISO 21573-1 standard on behalf of China. Wang Jiaqian, deputy manager of the Global R&D Center of Zoomlion Concrete Machinery Company, served as the project leader and formed a project team with 28 experts from 6 countries including the United States, Germany, Japan, Italy, and France to revise the standard. The revised standard has been strictly reviewed at various stages and officially published on August 26, 2024.
According to reports, the overall technical content of this revision is consistent with ISO 21573-2 "Construction Machinery and Equipment Concrete Pump Part 2: Test Methods for Technical Parameters" previously led by Zoomlion; at the same time, key terms related to the pumping performance of concrete pumping equipment have been added to promote the technical parameters of pumping equipment between different manufacturers to reach a consensus; the revision work also innovatively added new energy product classification to adapt to the green development trend of the global concrete pumping machinery industry and meet the requirements of global environmental sustainable development.

Wang Jiaqian said that the international standard released this time is the second international standard that Zoomlion has led in the field of concrete pumping machinery. In addition, another international standard in the field of concrete pumping machinery is under pre-research. At present, all international standards for concrete pumps are revised by Zoomlion, which shows that Chinese companies represented by Zoomlion have completely dominated the international standards for concrete pumps and achieved global leadership in concrete pumping machinery standards.
So far, Zoomlion has led and participated in the formulation and revision of 30 international standards, of which 5 have been led and published. It is the first Chinese company in the industry to lead the formulation and revision of international standards and obtain official publication and issuance, and it is also the Chinese company with the largest number of issuances.
