On June 10th, the 17th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Summit & Exhibition (IIICF, hereinafter referred to as: Macao Infrastructure Forum) grandly opened in Macao. This forum, themed "Infrastructure Connectivity · Green and Digital Empowerment," focused on green and low-carbon development along with digital and intelligent innovation, attracting over 3500 industry elites from more than 70 countries and regions.

With the theme "Reshaping Infinite Possibilities" and focusing on the full lifecycle of customers, Yang Chengjian introduced to the forum guests how Caterpillar organically connects intelligent technology, automation and autonomous driving, energy solutions, and service capabilities to create a complete value chain that spans "products, technology, and services" for industry customers.

Digital transformation is key to enhancing the quality and efficiency of global infrastructure. Through continuous innovation and investment, Caterpillar has accelerated the development of digitalization, intelligentization, and autonomous driving technology in recent years, helping customers optimize the job site, improve safety, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
During CES 2026, Caterpillar launched the Cat AI Assistant, an application that significantly enhances the convenience and efficiency of customers' equipment purchasing, maintenance, management, and operations. Caterpillar also introduced an autonomous fleet composed of five types of construction equipment (excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, transport trucks, and compactors) and announced an expanded partnership with NVIDIA to create onboard AI capabilities, AI intelligent agents suitable for products and industry scale, and safer, leaner, and more resilient production systems. This collaboration leverages NVIDIA's AI infrastructure and Caterpillar's century-long experience in building and maintaining the real world, setting a new benchmark for industrial innovation.
"The Cat AI Assistant is a suite of artificial intelligence agents serving customers in the form of a single assistant. It can help customers obtain equipment service information, machine health status, and fleet operation status, as well as assist less experienced operators, set construction alarms, and adjust machine working postures. The Cat AI Assistant can reduce the difficulty of precision operations such as brushing slopes and excavating trenches, effectively addressing current industry challenges such as technician shortages, low efficiency, and environmental constraints," Yang Chengjian revealed that the Cat AI Assistant will in the future target China's infrastructure construction, energy, and mining equipment application fields, providing customized solutions based on specific customer needs.
Yang Chengjian highlighted the Cat Operator Emulation fleet management solution. Tailored to the specific needs of Chinese engineering contractors and other customer groups, Cat Operator Emulation uses a digital platform to help customers understand equipment dynamics in real-time, drive equipment management decisions with data, and significantly reduce operational costs and downtime. Cat Operator Emulation has been widely applied in municipal engineering, mining, and quarrying fields, with some customers reporting a 6-8% increase in equipment operating efficiency and equipment attendance rates maintained above 95%.

Currently, Caterpillar has over 1.6 million pieces of equipment globally that are connected and reporting data.
