2026 Technology Festival: CCCC Tianhe Showcases Innovative Underground Engineeri

On June 13-14, the 2026 Construction Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Science and Technology Festival) was held in the Linping District of Hangzhou City. This edition of the Science and Technology Festival was co-hosted by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and the High-end Equipment Research Institute of Zhejiang University, with the theme of "Construction Machinery + Intelligent Manufacturing · Robotics · Artificial Intelligence · New Energy", aiming to build a high-level exchange platform for collaborative innovation among government, industry, academia, research, and application.
China Communications Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. (CCTEC) showcased equipment models such as the "First Pioneer" ultra-large diameter hard rock vertical tunneling machine for high-altitude and cold regions, and the "Tianshan" TBM specifically designed for the Tianshan Victory Tunnel, highlighting the company's innovative achievements in the field of high-end underground engineering equipment.
During the Science and Technology Festival, leaders including Academician Yang Hua Yong, Director of the Engineering Department and Dean of the High-end Equipment Research Institute of Zhejiang University, and Chief Committee Member of the 2026 Construction Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival Organizing Committee; Academician Zheng Jinyang; and Su Zi Meng, President of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and Chief Committee Member of the 2026 Construction Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival Organizing Committee, visited the CCTEC exhibition and exchange area.
Leaders from CCTEC were invited to attend a series of activities at the Science and Technology Festival, connecting with industry enterprises and authoritative experts to engage in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as intelligent upgrading of construction machinery, green and low-carbon technology research and development, and innovative applications of new equipment, exploring new paths for industry development and sharing new opportunities for industry growth.
Among them, Zhang Xin, Deputy Dean of the Design Institute of CCTEC, was invited to participate in the special report session and delivered a special report titled "Innovation and Practice of Large Diameter Vertical Shaft Construction Equipment", sharing CCTEC's technological breakthroughs and engineering practice experience in the field of large diameter vertical shaft construction equipment.
In the future, CCTEC will continue to focus on industry development trends, delve into the field of underground engineering equipment, increase the intensity of technological innovation, and support the high-quality development of the construction machinery industry with its core scientific and technological strength.
