Not all white skid steers are Bobcats
The sales consultant asked the customer to send a few photos of the equipment. Upon seeing them, it was clear – this was a machine imitating the appearance of the Bobcat S70, with white paint, similar contours, and roughly the same size, which could indeed deceive many people at first glance.
But upon closer inspection, there were no Bobcat logos on the nameplate, and the engine power, cylinder layout, and frame welding details did not match the genuine S70.
The customer added helplessly:

The S70's popularity has also attracted "imitators"
The Bobcat S70 is a true "internet-famous model": less than 1 meter wide, it can squeeze into narrow corridors, pass through chicken coop doorways, and even fit into elevators; with different attachments, it can perform milling, sweeping, crushing, and handling more than a dozen tasks. Whether for municipal maintenance, indoor demolition, or livestock breeding, the S70 has become a popular choice.
However, some things change when they get too popular. Frontline salespeople have reported that recently, many small loaders imitating the appearance of the Bobcat S70 have appeared on the market. They are painted in a similar white color, have a roughly square shape, and are labeled with attractive low prices – the only difference is, they are not called Bobcat.
These imitations do not have Bobcat's trademark or any brand identification. They are merely "playing on the edge": white paint + similar contours + low-price strategy, leading many users to mistakenly believe that "white skid steer loaders are Bobcats," placing orders in confusion, only to find out later that they have bought something else.
The white color of Bobcat has been used as a decoy.
Why is Bobcat Bobcat?
Bobcat is Bobcat, not because it is white.
In 1958, Bobcat invented the world's first skid steer loader.
