New Breakthrough: Weichai Marine Battery System Lights Up Weishan Lake Eco-Touri

On China's largest freshwater lake in the north—the Weishan Lake—board a sightseeing boat to explore Weishan Lake in a more tranquil manner. As you look up, you are greeted by the sight of lotus-scented breezes and vast lake views.
Recently, two sightseeing boats equipped with Weichai's pure electric power system, named "He Yun 001" and "He Yun 002," completed their trial voyage on Jining Weishan Lake. This provides a zero-carbon new model for the ecological tourism upgrade of "Green Weishan Lake" and will bring a new experience to tourists visiting the lake area.
Weichai's tailor-made electric propulsion system for the boats includes five core units: a direct current distribution system, a drive system, a power battery pack, a charging system, and an alternating current distribution system. This achieves full autonomy from "power source-distribution-propulsion-load," offering a zero-emission, low-noise, high-comfort pure electric power solution. It meets the functional needs for official receptions, business negotiations, and sightseeing tours of the boat while perfectly aligning with the environmental protection requirements of the Weishan Lake ecological protection zone.
Battery System: Equipped with Weichai's 10.62 kWh blade battery pack, offering ultimate safety, reliability, and energy density. The total battery capacity of the boat reaches 403.56 kWh, serving as the sole power source connected to the direct current grid to supply power to the entire boat;
Distribution System: A dual direct current/alternating current distribution architecture, providing stable power for both the propulsion system and cabin equipment, with modular design for easy maintenance;
Propulsion System: Utilizing a 110kW electric outboard motor, the power output is smooth, perfectly matching the low-speed cruising and docking steering requirements of the lake area.
The delivery of this project marks another significant breakthrough for Weichai in the field of pure electric lake vessels, providing a replicable system solution for the electrification of similar types of vessels in the future. Going forward, Weichai will continue to delve into green marine power technology, offering efficient and reliable support for the electrification transformation of vessels in more water areas.
