Recently, the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the "Hunan Province 'Digital New Infrastructure' 100 Iconic Project List (2026)", Sunward's "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Intelligent Construction Machinery Based on Air-Ground Collaboration" and "Development of Digital Twin Platform for Thermal Management of Electric Construction Machinery Driven by Industrial Internet and AI" were selected as iconic projects in the "Artificial Intelligence" and "Industrial Internet" directions, respectively. This is Sunward's second time receiving this honor in the past three years, highlighting the company's strategic determination and phased achievements in the digital transformation of engineering equipment.
In recent years, Sunward has continuously promoted the deep integration of digital technology and equipment manufacturing, and has laid out a forward-looking layout in frontier tracks such as artificial intelligence and low-altitude intelligence. Its "Sunward Xiangyun" industrial internet platform was once rated as the best practice case of industrial internet development in the construction engineering industry in 2025. Relying on the dual industrial advantages of Hunan Province's construction machinery and low-altitude economy, Sunward accurately enters the key needs of the industry, promotes the landing of the above two major projects, and takes substantial steps for industrial intelligent upgrading.
The "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Intelligent Construction Machinery Based on Air-Ground Collaboration" project aims at the pain points of delayed survey, communication interruption, and insufficient single machine intelligence in scenarios such as open-pit mines and emergency rescue, focusing on breaking through four core technologies such as "air-ground integrated" high-precision mapping and situational awareness, multi-agent collaborative operation, building an integrated air-ground collaborative intelligent control platform, and forming a new operation mode of "aerial drone survey mapping, ground intelligent equipment cluster linkage construction", significantly improving the intelligence, precision, and response efficiency of construction in complex environments.
The "Development of Digital Twin Platform for Thermal Management of Electric Construction Machinery Driven by Industrial Internet and AI" project focuses on the bottleneck of digital upgrade in the field of thermal management of electric construction machinery, integrates industrial internet and artificial intelligence technology, and creates a digital twin platform that integrates real-time monitoring, online simulation, predictive warning, and remote maintenance, achieving a full-process digital closed-loop control from R&D, production to operation and maintenance of thermal management. The platform can flexibly adapt to various complex working conditions, effectively deal with industry common problems such as thermal runaway and unstable operation, ensure the safe and stable operation of equipment under extreme environments and high-intensity operations, and strengthen the intelligent short board of thermal management of electric construction machinery.
Sunward's two major projects have opened up the integration path of industrial internet, artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, and construction machinery industry chain, systematically improving the intelligence level of the entire chain of equipment, which will provide strong technical support for scenarios such as unmanned mines, major projects, and emergency rescue, help Hunan's construction machinery industry to accelerate the pace of high-end and intelligent development, and create a replicable and promotable innovative application benchmark.
