On June 24th, the third phase of CRCHI's Lean Operation Management Improvement project was officially launched, with Zhao Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CRCHI, attending and speaking at the event. The project's initiation signifies that CRCHI has entered a new phase of deepening application and systematic problem-solving in the path of lean management.

Currently, the global construction machinery industry is accelerating towards intelligence, refinement, and efficiency, with market competition shifting from a single product comparison to a contest of full-chain operational efficiency. Faced with challenges such as the upgrade of customized customer demands and supply chain fluctuations, CRCHI is at a critical period of transitioning from scale expansion to quality and efficiency transformation. The Lean Phase III project is initiated in response to the trend, aiming to unblock the full-chain bottlenecks and solidify the foundation for high-quality development.
The conference reviewed the significant achievements of the Lean Phase II project, covering the entire chain of plan fulfillment, cost control, production efficiency and cost reduction, and outstanding R&D, vividly presenting the actual value brought by management improvement through data and case studies.
Zhao Hui's Speech
In his speech, Zhao Hui pointed out that CRCHI is currently at a critical stage of transformation and upgrading, and Lean Phase III is a strategic task to solve operational pain points and forge the core competitiveness of the enterprise. The construction of the project should take standard costs as the main line, build a full-chain collaborative cost control system, and concentrate efforts to win three major battles: First, the full-chain cost control battle, improve the standard cost system, start from the source, and deeply explore cost reduction space throughout the entire process; Second, the digital empowerment battle, build a cost data visualization dashboard, and rely on data to support business decisions; Third, the long-term mechanism and culture battle, solidify lean improvement results, cultivate a professional lean talent team, and promote the normalization and long-term effectiveness of lean management.
Zhao Hui emphasized that all cadres and workers must tightly压实 work responsibilities and take the initiative to fulfill their duties. Leaders at all levels should firmly establish the correct view of achievements, take the lead in promoting implementation; each project team should be brave in tackling difficulties, and dare to innovate and break through; all employees should actively participate in improvements based on their own positions. The company should coordinate the promotion of refined management and production operations, gather the joint force of top and bottom to tackle difficulties, resolutely win the battle of improving quality and efficiency, and solidify the foundation for the high-quality and sustainable development of the enterprise.
The Lean Phase III project of CRCHI will be carried out around two major business divisions from four dimensions, namely full-cost management of tunneling machines, optimization of tunneling machine remanufacturing fulfillment, special equipment capacity enhancement, and special equipment cost management, with ten project teams established. The conference released the project implementation plan and milestone plan, explaining the problems, phase goals, and expected effects that the project focuses on. During the meeting, CRCHI commended the outstanding autonomous lean improvement projects of 2025; the leader of Phase III project team submitted the project promotion responsibility statement. In addition, experts from consulting companies also conducted special training on lean management cost penetration, providing methodological support for the subsequent project implementation.
