Against the backdrop of the industry's traditional off-season, China's construction machinery industry has demonstrated unexpected growth resilience. On June 26, CCTV's Financial Channel aired two consecutive reports on the "Zheng Dian Cai Jing" program, titled "Construction Machinery Off-Season Not Dull, Electric Products in High Demand" and "Orders Overflowing, Production Lines at Full Capacity, Overseas Market for Construction Machinery Continues to Heat Up," focusing deeply on the industry's development trend against the odds. Among them, the report zoomed in on LiuGong, vividly showcasing LiuGong's robust electric production and sales, and the ongoing heat in overseas markets.

June is usually the traditional off-season for the construction machinery industry, but this year has seen a hot scene that is not dull in the off-season. During the visit, the reporter found that many companies' production lines are running at full capacity, and electric products are in such high demand that they are hard to find, with the delivery period for some orders significantly extended.
At a construction machinery manufacturing enterprise in Liuzhou, Guangxi, a batch of electric wheel loaders are being urgently assembled. Due to the surge in orders, it has become a common practice for many customers to wait in line at the factory for their goods.
Electric Wheel Loader Customer: Purchased 27 units of 855TE electric wheel loaders to replace old fuel equipment and expand production capacity. 17 units have been delivered so far, and the remaining 10 are waiting in line for delivery.
The production department head of this company told the reporter that in the face of surging orders, they continue to increase production capacity, and the daily delivery record for electric wheel loaders is also being continuously refreshed.
LiuGong Wheel Loader Business Unit Manufacturing Director Yao Dongxu: The production line is running at full capacity throughout the process, with full utilization of production capacity, and the output of complete machines has increased significantly year-on-year. The order demand has increased by nearly 50% year-on-year. Among them, electric wheel loaders have performed particularly brightly, with a 100% increase in orders.
Data shows that from January to May this year, the sales volume of new energy construction machinery in China has maintained a good momentum. Taking electric wheel loaders as an example, a total of 20,819 units were sold from January to May, a year-on-year increase of 99.9%. Electrification is becoming the core engine for the growth of the construction machinery industry.
The domestic market is not dull in the off-season, and the overseas market is also red. In the first five months of this year, the export of China's construction machinery continued to grow rapidly, with many companies breaking through the upper limit of production capacity, and the logistics and shipping rhythm has also shifted from a monthly concentration to a normalization. The reporter found during the visit that since the beginning of this year, the growth in overseas orders for construction machinery companies has been very significant, not only has the traditional advantage market continued to be consolidated, but the growth in emerging markets has also been strong.
LiuGong International Business Unit Earthmoving Product Director Lin Shencai: From January to May, LiuGong's export volume increased by nearly 50% year-on-year. The main products, such as wheel loaders, excavators, and motor graders, saw significant export growth in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Data shows that from January to May this year, China's construction machinery import and export trade volume was $28.911 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.5%, of which the export amount was $27.902 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%.
In the future, LiuGong will adhere to the coordinated promotion of domestic and international dual markets, use the transformation of electrification to drive domestic incremental space, and deeply cultivate overseas key areas with localized operations, injecting lasting momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.
