CRCHI Shield Machine Excels in Turkey, Sets New Monthly Tunneling Record with 77

Recently, good news came from the water diversion tunnel construction site in Turkey. The earth-pressure-balanced shield machine independently developed by CRCHI achieved impressive daily, weekly, and monthly records of 34 meters, 215 meters, and 770 meters respectively in June, setting a new record for the monthly excavation of domestically produced earth-pressure-balanced shield machines overseas. The "steel dragon" that crossed the ocean demonstrated the strength of Chinese manufacturing with hard data to the world.

This "steel dragon" with an excavation diameter of 7.78 meters, an overall length of about 144 meters, and a total weight of about 1500 tons was specially designed for the project's long-distance hard rock strata: a reinforced cutter head structure with 19-inch rolling cutters enhances rock-breaking capabilities; in response to potential methane gas in the strata, a closed muck removal and partial explosion-proof design ensure construction safety. At the same time, the equipment is also equipped with intelligent systems such as online wear monitoring of rolling cutters and volume scanning of muck, providing technical support for efficient excavation.

At the overseas project site, the CRCHI technical service team has always been on the front line, providing full-chain technical support for construction.
