Recently, XCMG's XRE468 range-extended electric rotary drilling rig has been deployed to the reconstruction site of the S2 Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway Qiaosi section, tackling the entire line's 586 piles with a diameter of 1.6 meters and a depth of 80 meters. This project is a regional key transportation project that supports the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, relying on the strong performance of domestically produced pure electric equipment to improve construction quality, reduce consumption, and lower carbon emissions, ensuring the project progresses efficiently and on schedule.
The construction site has complex geological conditions, with layers ranging from silt to soft rock to moderately weathered rock. The 80-meter ultra-deep drilling is prone to hole collapse and deviation, among other construction risks. To meet the three major requirements of deep pile construction, complex stratum excavation, and green construction, the customer ultimately chose XCMG's XRE468 range-extended electric rotary drilling rig.
