Global First! LiuGong's Electric Construction Machinery Booms in Sales

China has become the world's largest producer and seller of construction machinery, with the export scale of the construction machinery industry nearly tripling from 2020 to 2025.
In the first half of the year, the export value of China's construction machinery increased by 21.7% year-on-year.
Excavating, loading, transporting, unloading... In a Vietnamese mine, over 120 pieces of construction machinery are working in an orderly fashion, busy yet well-organized.
Green is the most distinctive feature of this mine. Over 120 pieces of equipment, from excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers to mining trucks, are all electrified.
"By using Chinese electric construction machinery, our tonnage mining cost has been directly reduced by 50%," said the mine manager, barely able to contain his excitement.
This year, influenced by the international energy crisis and the acceleration of green transformation, building "green mines" has become an industry consensus.

"In the field of electrification, Chinese construction machinery is in a leading position globally. Almost all international leading companies in the mining industry have established procurement centers in China," said Li Kailiang, Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of International Business Division of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd.
Where does the confidence come from?
— Equipment is robust. In response to the high-temperature and high-humidity power consumption conditions of the Vietnamese mine, LiuGong has developed excavators and wheel loaders that are "tailor-made" with high-capacity, high-reliability dedicated battery systems, coupled with flash charging technology, which can be fully charged in 45 minutes, with a single charge lasting 8 to 10 hours, covering a complete shift.
— Supporting facilities are mature. Some overseas markets require supervision of the entire process from the commissioning to the retirement of each battery: they need to be reported when put into use, and manufacturers are responsible for recycling when they are retired. "Relying on the complete new energy industry chain in China, Chinese companies have mature experience in the full-cycle management of batteries and can provide comprehensive services for overseas customers," said Li Kailiang.
— Solutions are comprehensive. Mines are mostly located in remote areas with weak public power grids. Chinese construction machinery companies provide integrated solutions, supported by "photovoltaic + energy storage + charging + mobile power supply" to build an integrated green micro-grid around the mine, allowing electric equipment to "have power available and dare to use power" in remote mining areas without access to city electricity.
"Once mining production stops, the loss is huge. Compared to foreign companies, we can integrate high-quality domestic resources to provide a complete set of solutions to ensure the smooth implementation of electrification solutions," Li Kailiang introduced.
Moreover, the Chinese construction machinery industry is also packaging intelligent "soft power" for export. The mature domestic mine management systems and fleet dispatching systems are deeply integrated with hardware, helping overseas mines transform from "tactics of human waves" to "smart brains."
Tangible benefits are the strongest driving force for overseas companies to continue placing orders. Energy consumption often accounts for 40% to 50% of mining operation costs, while the energy consumption of electric construction machinery is only 1/3 of that of fuel equipment. At the same time, electrification greatly simplifies the transmission system, and the maintenance and repair costs of machinery are significantly reduced.
For multinational mining companies, Chinese construction machinery is not only "green to use" but also "born green."
At the LiuGong excavator smart factory, the entire series of products from 13 tons to 200 tons are produced on a flexible co-line, with an artificial intelligence vision system that detects assembly deviations in real-time. From materials to finished products, every data node is traceable. In March of this year, the factory produced more than 1,500 excavators in a single month, a year-on-year increase of 77.5%, setting a historical record.
"Relying on the construction of smart factories, we use a large amount of green electricity in the production process, which directly helps downstream customers score high in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) evaluations," said Li Kailiang, noting that LiuGong's electric construction machinery exports performed brightly in the first half of this year.
