Recently, Taiyuan Heavy Industry's Construction Machinery Company, targeting the upgradation of intelligent manufacturing and refined management, deepened quality-improvement reforms across the production chain and officially launched 26 standardized operation videos covering all excavator manufacturing processes. Through visualized and digital means, it has reshaped work standards, laying a solid foundation for the company's quality and efficiency gains.
Excavator manufacturing involves complex, interlocking processes that demand a high degree of operational expertise and procedural standardization. Workshop production has long relied on traditional paper-based work instructions, which suffer from abstract content, poor visual clarity, and weak implementation, making them ill-suited to intelligent manufacturing and refined production needs. The newly launched standardized video system is not merely a simple replacement of documentation carriers, but a transformation and upgrade of workshop production methods, standard-implementation forms, and skills-transfer models.
To ensure the standards are authentic, precise, and actionable, the entire video series went through standard consolidation, scriptwriting, on-site filming, and multiple rounds of review and refinement. It captures the hands-on expertise and mature process standards of veteran frontline technicians frame by frame, effectively unifying the operating procedures and actions of all staff, addressing production shortcomings, and greatly improving production stability and product quality consistency.
At the same time, the company has built both online and offline learning and promotion channels, integrating the standardized operation videos into the on-site MOM system and the online training platform, enabling all employees to access and learn from them at any time and benchmark against standards on demand. This new visualized training model helps new employees get up to speed quickly and shortens their development cycle, while also prompting veteran employees to standardize their operations and improve quality and efficiency, truly rooting standardized operations in their posts and integrating them into the entire production process.
With standards established, quality is stable; with refined processes, products excel.
