Precision Assembly: Zoomlion R1800-80W Supports China's Largest Modular Public

Recently, Zoomlion's R1800-80W flat-top tower crane entered the site of the country's largest MIC (Modular Integrated Construction) modular public building project — the Shenzhen Vocational and Technical University Shenshan Campus built by China Construction Science and Technology. As the No. 5 main tower crane in the project's construction zone, it undertakes the hoisting of large-tonnage integrated modules for a five-unit dormitory building, providing core equipment support for the precise positioning and assembly of MIC integrated modules with its high-tonnage lifting performance.
The project is one of Shenzhen's first batch of Grade-A prefabricated building pilot projects and a demonstration benchmark for the city's prefabricated construction. With a module integration rate as high as 80%, the modules are prefabricated and fully finished inside smart factories; upon arrival on site, no secondary wet work is needed — they are assembled directly through hoisting and positioning, making it a typical demonstration of building houses "like manufacturing cars" in China. For the five-unit dormitory building handled by the R1800-80W, a total of 364 modules need to be hoisted, with each module weighing about 30-40 tonnes.
