Today Xiao Wei continues to unveil the highlights of Wirtgen's bauma exhibit. This episode spotlights a golden paver pairing from Vögele — a full-chain upgrade from material feeding to paving.
Stable, Even FeedingSets the Stage for High-Quality Paving
By optimizing the conveyor system design, material homogeneity is improved at the source. The hopper is equipped with a transverse auger that continuously re-blends the mix during transport, mixing the cooler side material with the hotter center material. By effectively narrowing the temperature gap and optimizing temperature distribution, it provides a more stable guarantee for subsequent paving quality.
Together with non-contact infrared heating and a grooved conveyor belt, it reduces material adhesion while guiding the mix toward the center, lowering aggregate segregation and loss.
Intelligent coordination is another highlight: three laser sensors monitor the distance to the paver in real time. Once the ideal spacing is set, the system automatically adjusts travel speed to maintain a stable working distance, and activates protective measures when approaching the safety limit. A secondary conveyor belt discharge-point sensor monitors material level in real time and automatically adjusts feed speed based on demand. This dual intelligent control ensures continuous feeding while greatly reducing operator workload.
Wide-Width FlagshipThe Quality Champion for One-Pass Forming
It features a newly upgraded screed system, paired with the SB 300 and SB 350 mechanically extendable screeds and equipped with a new hydraulic end-extension device. With the push of a button, it achieves a maximum single-side hydraulic extension of 1.25 m, for a combined adjustment range of up to 2.5 m on both sides — easily handling special conditions such as high-speed lane widening, and suited to highways, municipal roads, airport runways and more.
In addition, it is equipped with the ErgoPlus 3 human-machine interface intelligent enhanced control system, rich in functions and easy to master; and the Vögele EcoPlus energy-saving package, whose ECO mode lowers noise and can reduce fuel consumption by up to 25%, effectively cutting carbon emissions while balancing efficiency and green benefits.
