Sany Ships 200 Electric Dump Trucks to South America in Largest Single Order
August 28,2026
On August 27, in Shaoyang Economic Development Zone, 200 electric mining dump trucks slowly drove out of the gates of Sany in Shaoyang, officially heading to the global market! This is currently the largest single pure electric mining dump truck order in the South American region, marking that Chinese new energy mining equipment is accelerating into a new phase of large-scale application in South America.
At the vehicle dispatch site, the dump trucks were neatly arrayed, creating an imposing spectacle. After the ceremony, the vehicles drove out of the factory area one by one, forming a vast stream of traffic, a truly magnificent sight.
At the dispatch ceremony, Wang Wei, Deputy General Manager of Sany's Engineering Vehicle Division (referred to as "Sany CEV"), delivered a speech that deeply elaborated on the strategic significance of the project, the core advantages of the product, and its market value.
He stated that the South American region has a strong demand for heavy dump trucks in resource extraction and transportation, but traditional fuel vehicles have high operating costs and significant carbon emission pressures, making a green transition imperative. The models exported to South America in this batch are tailored for local heavy-load, high-frequency transportation scenarios. They have been comprehensively optimized for power, load-bearing, braking, and the protection system of the three-electric system for complex conditions such as muddy mountain roads and heavy load uphill and downhill driving. The total load capacity of the entire vehicle can exceed 70 tons, with high reliability and adaptability.
Subsequently, Wang Yonghong, the full-time Deputy Director of the Shaoyang City Office Serving Sany Group, handed over the symbolic keys of cooperation and trust to the customer representative. Gou Haicheng, Deputy General Manager of the Commercial Vehicle Smart Manufacturing Company, announced the official dispatch of the vehicles.
It is reported that these Sany pure electric mining dump trucks, relying on the actual vehicle tracking tests carried out in South America, can achieve the lowest energy consumption of 0.5kWh/km under extreme conditions. Based on the full lifecycle operating cost calculation, compared to fuel dump trucks of the same class in Europe and America, each vehicle can save the customer approximately $80,000 in operating costs per year.
Since 2018, Sany CEV has been deeply involved in the field of new energy dump trucks, and for four consecutive years, it has been the global leader in both "ownership" and "export volume" of new energy. Currently, Sany dump trucks have reached more than 50 countries and regions worldwide.
"With the high volatility of oil prices, coupled with the continuous growth in overseas mining and transportation demand, and our comprehensive advantages in microgrid solutions, we are confident in the future development of Sany electric mining dump trucks in overseas markets," said Wang Wei.
What crosses the mountains and seas is not just a batch of equipment, but also a new answer to how Chinese equipment manufacturing is moving from "products going global" to "technology, solutions, and brands going global." In the future, Sany CEV will continue to promote technological innovation in new energy dump trucks and global layout, helping the global mining industry to accelerate its transition to green, low-carbon, and intelligent upgrades."
