The Lancang River Bridge is located in the western Hengduan Mountains - the most complex terrain in China. The mountain slopes on both banks reach a maximum angle of over 80 degrees, and in some sections are nearly vertical, making the construction environment extremely harsh. The bridge deck sits more than 270 meters above the river - equivalent to a 90-story building. Maximum wind speeds in the gorge exceed 26 meters per second, and the monsoon season lasts more than half the year, making it one of the railway bridges under construction with the highest safety-risk rating in China. Facing such harsh natural conditions, the choice of equipment is crucial.
In the construction of this bridge, after extensive comparison, the contractor ultimately selected Zoomlion's 'Lingyun' series 47-meter and 56-meter pump trucks as the main force. These two models inherit the lightweight, efficient, safe, and reliable product DNA of the 'Lingyun' series, demonstrating excellent adaptability under complex working conditions such as strong canyon winds and confined sites, becoming the backbone of the bridge's concrete pouring operations.
The technical advantages of the 'Lingyun' series pump trucks were fully validated on the banks of the Lancang River. In the face of strong canyon winds, the equipment can still maintain precise placement; in narrow construction sites, the flexible boom system achieves dead-angle-free operation; and for the high-grade concrete required by the bridge, the pump truck's adaptive pumping technology effectively reduces pipe-blockage rates, ensuring the smooth progress of continuous pouring. The contractor said that Zoomlion's pump trucks performed stably under sustained high-intensity operations, providing strong support for the on-schedule advancement of the bridge's key nodes.
