World's First! CIMC Receives AS/NZS 5131 CC3 Steel Structure Certification from Bureau Veritas under Australia-New Zealand Standard

On October 10, the certification ceremony for the Australia-New Zealand standard AS/NZS 5131 CC3 steel structure certification was held at CIMC's Xinhui base. Bureau Veritas (BV), a globally authoritative certification body, presented the certificate to CIMC Modular Building on site. This is the first AS/NZS 5131 CC3-level steel structure certification issued by BV worldwide, marking that CIMC has reached a world-leading level in modular building steel structure manufacturing.

AS/NZS 5131 is the core standard for the quality and safety of building steel structures in the Australia-New Zealand region. CC3 is a high-level manufacturing certification under this standard, setting extremely high thresholds for welding processes, quality control, product traceability, and personnel qualification. It is an important admission condition for undertaking large-scale public and commercial modular projects in Australia and New Zealand, especially high-rise buildings.

This successful certification provides compliance assurance for the Xinhui base to enter the Australia-New Zealand market, and offers key support for the implementation of the base's ongoing high-rise building projects in the region, further enriching CIMC's international qualification system.

The certification project was jointly advanced by CIMC Modular Building and Xinhui Special Container. Relying on the Xinhui base industrial platform and strictly following the CC3-level international audit standards, the two parties leveraged their respective strengths, with teams working closely together to achieve efficient coordination across technology, process, production, and quality. Over several months, they jointly completed system setup, process validation, preparation of full technical documentation, and trial manufacturing of standard samples, ultimately passing the assessment.

BV certification experts noted that the AS/NZS 5131 CC3 audit requirements are stringent, and that CIMC Modular Building and Xinhui Special Container jointly securing the world's first CC3-level certificate fully demonstrates that the Xinhui base's steel structure manufacturing system meets the high-grade engineering quality requirements of the Australia-New Zealand market.
