Sunward SWCP6A Cotton Picker-Baler Debuts in Brazil and Completes Trial Harvest

October 24,2026

Recently, Sunward's SWCP6A cotton picker-baler completed its first trial harvest at a large farm in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Since the equipment arrived on site in late August, the project team has completed commissioning, operating-parameter optimization and field performance verification, and finished a phased harvesting operation in early September. This cross-border field trial not only tested the machine's adaptability to local Brazilian cotton-field conditions, but also accumulated valuable application experience for further expansion into the South American market.

The trial focused on harvesting quality, baling effect, operational reliability and economy. Trial-stage statistics showed the SWCP6A's picking rate exceeded 95%, ginned-cotton impurity rate below 8%, baling success rate of 100% and comprehensive fuel consumption of about 2.0 L/mu. The machine ran smoothly throughout the trial with good key performance, providing strong support for subsequent product optimization and local market promotion.

The SWCP6A is a six-row self-propelled cotton picker-baler developed by Sunward, a high-end domestic intelligent agricultural machine. Integrating picking and baling, it harvests six rows of cotton at a time and forms round or square bales directly in the field, reducing transfer steps and cotton loss and greatly improving harvesting efficiency — suited to large cotton fields and agricultural cooperatives.

The machine is equipped with a high-power diesel engine and self-propelled chassis for ample power and good mobility, adapting to long, high-intensity operation; the picking head uses optimized spindles and air ducts to raise the picking rate and reduce waste; it also carries an intelligent monitoring system that tracks picking rate, fault alarms and operating parameters in real time, making operation and maintenance relatively convenient.

Notably, the entire trial was driven by local foreign operators. Facing different operating habits and field conditions, the Sunward project team worked closely with local partners to continuously optimize operating parameters around harvesting quality, machine status and operating experience. Foreign operators taking part independently in actual harvesting further verified the product's operational adaptability in overseas use scenarios. Local customers and operators gave positive feedback on the SWCP6A's trial performance, gaining a more intuitive understanding of its harvesting effect, baling quality, operation and digital functions.

Brazil is a major global cotton producer and exporter, and its scaled, mechanized harvesting demand offers broad application space for advanced agricultural equipment. This first Brazilian trial of the SWCP6A is both a field test of harvesting performance and digital capability and an important step for Sunward cotton-harvesting equipment into the international market after Australia.

In the future, Sunward will continue to meet overseas user needs, refine product performance and localization adaptability, accelerate the internationalization of its agricultural equipment, and serve global agricultural production with efficient, reliable and intelligent products and technologies.
