CIMC Raffles Showcases Marine Innovations at 2026 Ocean Expo
From October 22 to 24, the 2026 China Marine Economy Expo (hereinafter "the Ocean Expo") was held in Shenzhen. Under the theme "Digital & Smart Deep Blue, Creating the Future Together," CIMC Raffles, a CIMC subsidiary, exhibited equipment and solutions in offshore oil & gas, marine new energy and comprehensive marine services, showcasing high-end offshore-equipment innovations and coordinated industry-chain capabilities, reflecting its practice of deepening "Great Ocean · New Offshore."
This is CIMC's seventh consecutive appearance at the Ocean Expo. On the first day, Sun Shuxian, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Director of the State Oceanic Administration, Zhang Hu, Executive Vice Governor of Guangdong, and Li Yun, Mayor of Shenzhen, visited and inspected the CIMC booth.

Sun Shuxian's party focused on learning about projects such as "Deep Sea No. 1" and the Mero3 FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit), and inquired about the latest technological achievements and R&D progress in deepwater oil & gas equipment and marine new energy.
Breaking Through High-End Offshore, Expanding New Space for Offshore Oil & Gas Development
As offshore oil & gas development moves into deep and ultra-deep water, higher demands are placed on high-end equipment design, construction and system-integration capability. In the offshore oil & gas equipment field, CIMC Raffles has completed its transformation from traditional offshore drilling to "combined drilling and production."

A model of the previously delivered Mero3 FPSO project was displayed at the booth. The project is CIMC's first FPSO conversion project and the first domestically completed FPSO conversion covering hull modification, all module construction and integration, and system debugging in the same shipyard. Delivered to a Malaysian international shipping company for Brazil's deepwater pre-salt oilfield development, it processes up to 180,000 barrels of crude oil and 12 million m³ of natural gas per day, with oil storage of 1.45 million barrels.

Since the start of the year, CIMC Raffles has continued to break through in high-end offshore. In June, the company signed the FPSO EPCIC contract for Angola's Greater PAJ project, becoming the first Chinese shipbuilder to undertake a full-chain newbuild FPSO turnkey project; in August it signed a second MKⅡ FLNG EPC turnkey contract with Golar LNG, a global leader in FLNG operation, further expanding the high-end floating natural-gas-liquefaction equipment market.
Integrating Offshore and New Energy, Exploring New Paths for Far-Offshore Energy Development
The far offshore is rich in wind, solar and other resources. CIMC Raffles actively explores the integration of offshore engineering and hydrogen technology, presenting the concept of an offshore energy island integrating offshore wind/solar power generation, hydrogen production, storage, transport and use.
CIMC Green Hydrogen exhibited the CIMC-GH thousand-cubic-meter alkaline electrolyzer for large-scale wind/solar hydrogen production; the CMEP containerized skid-mounted hydrogen-production plant offers rapid hoisting and deployment, adaptable to distributed and overseas project needs.

CIMC Jiguang Integrated exhibited a series of floating offshore photovoltaic platform innovations being demonstrated at the Jiguang Marine New-Quality-Productivity test site, including the nation's first semi-submersible floating PV platform and the world's first 100 kW-class bamboo-based composite floating PV platform among four different technical solutions, demonstrating world-leading capabilities in offshore floating PV.
Extending the Industry Chain, Enhancing Comprehensive Marine Service Capability
As offshore wind moves into deeper waters, the importance of marine survey, engineering construction and O&M services is increasingly prominent. CIMC Jifeng's Zhuhai Tanhai continues to expand marine scientific survey, offshore engineering construction and vessel operation-management businesses.

The 2,000-tonne-class scientific survey vessel "Tanhai 10" on display meets unrestricted-navigation requirements and can perform offshore wind survey, engineering geological drilling, hydrogeological sampling and oilfield well-location survey, providing service support for far-offshore resource development and engineering construction.
Looking to the future, relying on the group's overall advantages and the collaborative capabilities of its specialized companies, CIMC Raffles will continue to deepen "Great Ocean · New Offshore," providing integrated equipment and service solutions for the high-quality development of the marine economy.
