July 2026 Aerial Work Platform Rental Prosperity Index Released

Rental Rate Index

In July 2026, the rental rate index for aerial work platforms was 649 points, a slight month-on-month decrease of less than 1.0%, and a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%. Overall, in July, the rental rate index for most models was in a state of decline on a month-on-month basis, among which, the 36⁓39m model had the largest increase, reaching 11.9%; the rental rate index for the 30~35m model decreased the most on a month-on-month basis, reaching 5.9%. In July 2026, the rental rate index for all models was in a state of decline year-on-year, with the 30~35m model showing the largest decrease, reaching 10.6%, and the rental rate index for the 36~39m model showing the smallest decrease, at 3.6%. (The rental rate is calculated based on the number of machine-days, with a 100% rental rate corresponding to 1000 points.)

Rental Price Index

According to the reported data statistics and calculations, in July 2026, the rental price index for aerial work platforms decreased by 1.2% month-on-month. Overall, in July, the rental price index for each model was either stable or declining on a month-on-month basis, with the 14~16m model showing the largest decrease of 5.2%, and models above 26m showing fluctuations of around 1.0% month-on-month. In July 2026, the rental price index for aerial work platforms decreased by 8.2% year-on-year, with all models showing a decline in the rental price index year-on-year, among which, the 30~35m model showed the largest decrease, at 12.1%, and models above 40m showed the smallest decrease, at 3.8%.

Since the initiation of the aerial work platform rental prosperity index statistics by the Construction Machinery Rental Association in July 2022, the statistical calculation methods have been continuously optimized. Further improvements to statistical indicators and methods will be made to more scientifically and accurately reflect market conditions for reference by industry enterprises.
